Yes! It is important to incorporate both a serum and a moisturizer into your skincare routine. Why? A serum is a smaller molecular structure. It is designed to penetrate deeper into your skin to hydrate, correct, rejuvenate and or provide anti aging benefits. This all depends on what your skin needs and what the serum your using is designed for. Apply your serum before your moisturizer morning and night or as otherwise advised by your esthetician.
Moisturizer acts as a protective barrier for your skin to lock in your serum and keep your skin hydrated and plump. Keep in mind your skin will change over time and can even change by the season. In the winter your skin will need thicker products to help fight against the harsh cold weather making your skin dryer. As opposed to summer, your skin naturally produces more oil so finding products that are lighter weight but still adding moisture to the skin will be essential.
