To be honest, every season is the season for masks. However in fall and winter your skin benefits greatly from moisturizing and hydrating masks. Winters dry, cold and windy conditions take a toll on your skin and incorporating masks into your skincare routine is a great way to put moisture back into your depleted skin. There are many different kinds of masks that are created to target specific issues out there on the market and it is important to find the right mask for you. Generally speaking most of the masks I use durning facials are creamy, non drying masks that nourish and replenish the skin; created to soothe and hydrate and reduce redness. Clay or pore cleansing masks I typically only use for a true oily or acneic skin type.
Masks are great to apply about once a week to a couple of times a month and are a great way to give yourself a little spa day at home. After a long day of work there is nothing better than to draw a hot bath, light a cozy candle, apply moisturizing mask and let the stress off the day just dissipate into the water.
